I was asked by one of our users what the role of "Moderator" is and does in the context of an alias within a domain. For example, we might have list@example.com as a mailing list restricted to list members and moderators. While it's useful to put an email address in the moderators list so as to allow that address to send email to the list without receiving email from the list, are there other capabilities or privileges that come with being listed as a moderator for a closed list? I was not able to answer the question. Reading the iRedMail documentation, there's discussion about adding moderators to lists, but nothing I found about what the functionality is aside from who can send to a list. Can someone provide some insight?
