Topic: Not recieving mail

At random time I suddeny am not recieving a-mails any more.
I can see that the server received the mail but (I think) Amavis isn't accepting any connections anymore.
After a reboot everyting is okay for a little while.
The problem occurs after some day of weeks.

In the maillog file I see this:
Jul 19 12:26:57 mail postfix/amavis/smtp[15855]: connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024: Connection refused
Jul 19 12:26:57 mail postfix/amavis/smtp[15855]: A0D02A2687: to=<me@mydomain.com>, relay=none, delay=2218, delays=2218/0.06/0/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024: Connection refused)

I have read somewhere about memory, I have 2MB assigned to the system, this should be enough I would say.

Does any one have an idea what could be the issue?

Hello, I was having a lot of trouble when using a lower than recommended setting. I'm currently using a server with 2 CPUs and 4GB of RAM and that's enough.

Hello,

If I look for the requirements of Ubuntu than the minimal is 2 cpu and 2 GB of RAM.
So that's what I have currently.
But that isn't enoungh you think?

The memory use is about 80 to 90 percent but that doesn't have to be a problem in my opinion.

I'll see what an upgrade wil cost on my VPS.

Amavisd service is not running. It's very possible that clamav service is not running due to no enough memory, and amavisd died after clamav.

It's better upgrade to 4GB RAM.
