Hi all!

I have some questions about building mail-server:
1. Can I track vacation messages? It may be need for proove sender about notification in vacation message.
2. Can I send one vacation messages for one sender if sender put several people in recipient filed? All recipient will be in one domain. I don't know where it may be: dovecot, postfix or dovecot-sieve.

Hope for your help.

Thanks!

Dovecot sieve handles vacation message very well, i don't think you need to worry about or tune it.

I trust your, but this is necessary to resolve disputes with the senders of letters, if they declare that they have not received our autoreplies.

Second question very important for me, because one sender may recieved many same autoreplies from different users in my domain. For example: somebody@gmail.com sending message on to my server to several people: [user1@mydomain.com, user2@mydomain.com, user3@mydomain.com...]. If i use sieve_before for vacation, sender will recieve 3+ autoreplies from each of people, who was in "To" or "Cc" header in original message. I need that sender recieve one message from one domain (if possible) from alias or existing mbox (no-reply@mydomain.com, for example).

Is it possible to do this by means of dovecot or postfix?

Thanks for attention!

Re: Autoreply

I didn't try to use vacation globally (sieve_before/sieve_after), no idea at all.
I suggest asking in Dovecot mailing list to get more details:
