We are getting this kind of artifact in the mail log where there is only a tld in the message id.  happens rarely but some  mails are being rejected as a result.

Jan 16 07:42:50 mail postfix/cleanup[19711]: A8----------: message-id=<0265--------------------70$@com>

Any idea what's causing this?  Would upgrading postfix to the latest stable version fix this possibly? We're using 3.1.0

Re: TLD only in message-id

- Do you mean email sent by your iRedMail server generated this kind of message-id?
- Or you received emails which contain similar message-id?

Postfix uses server hostname in message-id by default, not just tld.
