Hi, I know that aliases are configured via MySQL. Is it possible to instead configure aliases via file /etc/aliases ?

So basically email management:-
- Mailbox accounts = iRedAdmin
- Mailbox aliases = /etc/aliases file

Thanks.

Re: Aliases

Yes you can, but why not use SQL db directly?
Otherwise you have to make sure alias address(es) are not duplicate in SQL and the /etc/aliases file.

Re: Aliases

Hi Zhang,

It's quicker for me to just use the aliases file.

Thanks.

I believe it's harder to maintain it since you need to take care of data in 2 places (file and SQL db).
