So I've noticed there are many people using iRedMail and NextCloud.
I've got the nextcloud mail client as well as thunderbird working with iRedMail just fine.  They can all send and receive.
However I can not get the nextcloud server admin setup for sending notifications.
I get this is an iRedMail forum, but with all the nextcloud users I was hoping someone would spot a problem in my config possibly in iRedMail.

The NextCloud config looks like this the attached pic below:

When I press the Send email this is the maillog:

Apr 21 22:16:49 mail postfix/submission/smtpd[30369]: connect from nc.mydomain.com[192.168.0.8]
Apr 21 22:16:49 mail postfix/submission/smtpd[30369]: SSL_accept error from nc.mydomain.com[192.168.0.8]: -1
Apr 21 22:16:49 mail postfix/submission/smtpd[30369]: warning: TLS library problem: error:14094418:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert unknown ca:../ssl/record/rec_layer_s3.c:1399:SSL alert number 48:
Apr 21 22:16:49 mail postfix/submission/smtpd[30369]: lost connection after STARTTLS from nc.mydomain.com[192.168.0.8]
Apr 21 22:16:49 mail postfix/submission/smtpd[30369]: disconnect from nc.mydomain.com[192.168.0.8] ehlo=1 starttls=0/1 commands=1/2

If someone has this working with iRedMail, do you mind sharing your config?

Re: Nextcloud using iRedMail SMTP

The screenshot looks fine - if you have correct server address and secure connection type + port.

- SMTP
- STARTTLS
- Login
- port 587

I'm not sure whether NextCloud works with self-signed ssl cert, you'd better test again with a valid ssl cert.
