==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====

- Deployed with iRedMail Easy or the downloadable installer?
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):
- Web server (Apache or Nginx):
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro?
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

Well, that's it. Which port would be the best for encrypted mail? 465 o 587?

Google says:
465: very sure port, but that mails can get to spam
587: Unsecured port, but mails arrive in the inbox

Re: Which port is better for encrypted mail? 465 or 587?

- Port 465 is SMTP over SSL, but it's deprecated for years, although many MTAs and MUAs still support it.
- Port 587 is SMTP over TLS, it's the standard port for email submission.

SSL and TLS are different protocol to establish secure connection, but both are secure, there's no "better" one IMO.

Does my reply help a little? How about buying me a cup of coffee ($5) as an encouragement?

So is 587 better?

587 is enabled in iRedMail by default, but NOT 465.
You can use 587.
