Topic: iRedAPD-2.8 (Postfix policy server) has been released

Dear all,

iRedAPD-2.8 (Postfix policy server) has been released, major changes since iRedAPD-2.7:

  • Bypass greylisting service if sender server IP address is listed in SPF DNS record of sender domain. This is enabled by default, and can be disabled with setting `GREYLISTING_BYPASS_SPF = False`. Thanks to "Brno University of Technology Computer and Information Services Centre" (www.vut.cz) for sponsoring this development.

  • Fixed: Not correctly collect IPv4 CIDR networks while comparing sender server IP address against SPF DNS record. Thanks Lucas Geetz <Lucas.Geetz _at_ gecko.de> for the report.

Upgrading is easy, just follow our short tutorial: https://docs.iredmail.org/upgrade.iredapd.html

Can the iRedAPD-x.x/ directory be removed after update?

Yes. But not the one under /opt/.

I wouldn't dare touch that one. Thank you for the clarification!

I did notice, however, that iRedAPD-2.7 is still listed in /opt/. Can that be removed if iRedAPD-2.8 exists in that directory?

It's ok to remove OLD iRedAPD directories under /opt/.

Is there a mailing list for notification on these updates? The Admin panel doesn't include a notification for out of date iRedAPD.
