Topic: continuous "Please try again later" messages ...

We are trying to send one simple email to a USER@nokia.com server. (mx1.nokia.com)

But the mail server is constantly sending "Please try again later (in reply to end of DATA command))"

What could be the reason? Should I ask their webmaster to whitelist our domain?

Thanks
Richard

It could be responsed by greylisting software, it's safe to ignore it, and iRedMail will re-sent it.

Reference: http://www.greylisting.org/

P.S. iRedMail enables greylisting by default.

Hi Zhang ..

Thank you for quick reply .. I understood the greylisting part. But my iredmail setup is trying to resend the email atleast 50 times,  and the remote mail server is again sending "Please try again later" message.

Do I need to contact the remote server webmaster?

Richard

That could be something wrong with their server, maybe a temporarily offline (and response from backup mx) or similiar issue. It's better to contact their webmaster.
