Hi!
Unable to set up a mailing list using maillist_admin.py so that you can send to it from only one address.
Is it possible to do that?

Do you mean only moderator can send to the list? this is possible.
Check document here: https://github.com/iredmail/mlmmjadmin/ … ocs/API.md

Update your mailing list (with /opt/mlmmjadmin/tools/maillist_admin.py) with parameter "only_moderator_can_post=yes", and add the one you want to allow to send as moderator.

Thanks for the answer!
The parameter only_moderator_can_post=yes was set for me, but letters from external recipients came to the mailing list. As a workaround, I set moderate_non_subscriber_post=yes.
But I wish the mail would just be discarded

I expect "only_moderator_can_post=yes" is enough and mlmmj will reject the emails sent by subscribers and all other external senders.

Could you remove "moderate_non_subscriber_post=yes" and send some testing email again to reproduce the issue, then show me the log in Postfix log file?

Hi!
Strange behavior of mlmmj. I set moderate_non_subscriber_post=no, but emails keep coming to the moderator.
My current configuration:

# python maillist_admin.py info mail_list@mydomain.ru
......
moderate_non_subscriber_post=no
......
only_subscriber_can_post=no
......
moderated=yes
......
subscription_moderators=[u'owner.mail_list@mydomain.ru']
moderate_subscription=yes
......
only_moderator_can_post=yes
......
moderators=[u'owner.mail_list@mydomain.ru']

Current subscribers mail_list:

# python maillist_admin.py subscribers mail_list@mydomain.ru
imak@mydomain.ru (normal)
owner.mail_list@mydomain.ru (normal)

I sent an email to the newsletter from an external address and from the moderator. Both letters came to the moderator's mailbox.

Re: Problems with mlmmj mailing lists.

I just realized that you're running "Debian 7", it runs old mlmmj-1.2.18 (or earlier?), It may have have bug and not honor the tunable settings.
