When trying to upgrade roundcubemail from 1.3.10 to 1.4.x, I get the following:

Figured it out.

sudo apt-get install php7.4-mbstring
sudo phpenmod mbstring

then install worked.

But now I get an error when I try to send mail from RC:

SMTP Error (250): Authentication failed
