Topic: postfix+openldap problem

Iredmail put on 3 different machines with different versions of freebsd 7.2-8.0, and everywhere one and the same problem with openldap


mail postfix /trivial-rewrite [16370]: fatal:proxy:ldap:/usr/local/etc/postfix/ldap_virtual_alias_maps.cf (0,lock|fold_fix):table lookup problem

after openldap stops working and postfix

really need help

Please check whether openldap service is running or not.

start the services manually, after 1 minute it drops

Try to set 'loglevel 256' in slapd.conf, restart openldap, and monitor its log file to see what happened.

Sorry, i didn't make myself clear.

Do you find any error/warning message in openldap log file? Paste here so that others can help troubleshoot.

#    0:     no debugging
#   128:    access control list processing
#   256:    stats log connections/operations/results
loglevel    256

Seems this is the root cause, but i have no idea yet.

Try to set 'loglevel -1' in slapd.conf, and monitor log file again.

I can't find related error log in your post.
You should try to read its log file line-by-line, and find out related log content and paste here, so that others can help troubleshoot.

Does OpenLDAP raise any error message when you start/restart it? like mentioned in this post:
