Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to set a recovery mail address for an account ?

this will allow users to have autonomy over their lost password.

Thanks in advance,

Maxime

Where do you store the email address used to receive the recover email?

Re: Password Recovery email address ?

Currently we have an export of a MySQL database from another legacy mail system.

So I guess we will be able to store these backup addresses in a new database or table.

Roundcube used to have a password recover plugin but it looks like no longer works. great loss...
it would be so nice to have that feature back somehow, some way.

Are you talking about this plugin? https : //github . com/AlfnRU/roundcube-password_recovery

It was updated 2 month ago.

I am just not sure how to configure it.

When I add it to the
/opt/www/roundcubemail-1.5.2/config/config.inc.php
even after I add the credentials to the
/opt/www/roundcubemail-1.5.2/plugins/password_recovery/config.inc.php

it tells me that User is empty I cannot see emails in the inbox.

and /var/log/maillog tells me that

DB Error: [1142] ALTER command denied to user 'roundcube'@'localhost' for table 'mailbox' (SQL Query: ALTER TABLE mailbox ADD question VARCHAR(255) DEFAULT '') in /opt/www/roundcubemail-1.5.2/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_db.php on line 566 (POST /mail/?_task=mail&_action=refresh)

hi @yaroslavkhmel,

- You replied to a 2-year old thread. Please create a new forum topic for your own issue.
- We don't support third-party Roundcube plugin here, you'd better get support from plugin vendor.
