Hello

i intalled Iredmail on my centos 7 server and everything is working great , but sending mail is very slow , it takes 5 minutes to deliver 100 emails , is it possible to increase the speed ? usually with Powermta i can send that in less than a minute

Please check Postfix log first to figure out why it took 5 minutes to send 100 emails, then tune it to fix the root cause.

Please check the related log lines first, not simply drop a whole log file and ask me to analyze it for you, i will be lost in so many log lines. sad

Hello Texec,

Just a quick suggestion to look into:

What hardware or VPS configuration do you have?
Memory?
Processor?
Space?

On the installation page for Ubuntu, there are minimum requirements for your hardware, and if you don't follow those, typically different services stop. Also make sure that the server is not too busy with other elements.

i don't think it's a hardware issue since i didn't have this problem with Powermta , but for reference , i'm running iredmail on a fresh installation of Centos 7 , 512 MB Memory / 20 GB Disk

So if you read this article: https://docs.iredmail.org/install.iredm … quirements

Your required minimum memory is 2 GB, and 4 GB is recommended.
You are way low on Memory.

Either get a hosting with more RAM (best solution)
Or get a hosting with SSD hosting, and have a 3.5 GB Swap Space (not best, but it will still run, but SLOW)

Any related log in /var/log/messages? Try to run “freshclam” manually to update clamav database, then restart the service again.
