Hey,

when i send an email to my freshly installed server, i get the following response:

Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; Host or domain name not found. Name service error
for name=mail.example.org.example.org type=AAAA: Host not found

As you can see, the hostname? ist wrong (should be only mail.example.org). Is this a misconfiguration of postfix? Or do i really miss this big DNS entry?

Thanks!

Re: *SOLVED* Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender

What is the MX record for your domain in the DNS?

Specifically, you may have entered "mail.example.org" somewhere that was only expecting you to enter "mail". If it was only expecting you to enter "mail" and it automatically appended "example.org", then "example.org" may have been appended to "mail.example.org", making it "mail.example.org.example.org".

If that's the case the solution is to go back and edit the zone accordingly.

Also, considering the sender tried to deliver it over IPv6, make sure you're pointing your MX record to a AAAA record.
