Hi all,

the past weeks i noticed on the postfix section of logwatch that the "Connection lost (inbound)" number has increased a lot.
Example:
    2264   Connections                                  2,264
     662   Connections lost (inbound)                     662

I check past logs and the past few weeks the lost connection rate is about 25%.

Is this normal?

If not, can it be caused by an iredmail configuration?

My two other observations are:
a) I see no network problems with the server.
b) Lately, we had lots of email, where some recipient's domain names were unresolvable by our dns servers.

Usually it's normal -- unless your own users reported some connection issues.
Usually spammers will trigger the connection lost error so that they don't waste more time on this server.
