Topic: Location of dovecot.sieve file

Sir,
In the dovecot.conf file,the location of sieve rule is written as :
sieve_global_path = /var/vmail/sieve/dovecot.sieve
I searched in the above path but dovecot.sieve file is not available.
Instead i found dovecot.sieve.sample file.
My question is what is the exact location for dovecot.sieve file

The exact location is same as it says: /var/vmail/sieve/dovecot.sieve.

If this file doesn't exist, dovecot will ignore it.
/var/vmail/sieve/dovecot.sieve.sample is just a sample file for admin's reference, you can create a new one based on this one, or just as a reference sample.

I installed iredos 0.6.0, even here i didnot find dovecot.sieve file.
I think you have not included the dovecot.sieve in the iredos 0.6.0.
I think patch is needed for this, as it is very important to move spam to junk folder.

iRedOS-0.6.0 ships iRedMail-0.6.0, and it has /var/vmail/sieve/dovecot.sieve.sample too:
