Topic: Too much spam on the forum, time for an upgraded version?

To the forum admins,

I see quite a lot of spam messages being posted on the forum, mostly as a reply to a previous message. It's quite annoying and I'm reporting them all the time. Seeing that the forum has a "Copyright 2003-2010 PunBB  " statement I guess it's not a recent version of the software. Newer versions might have better protection against spam or better plugins available so isn't it worth the effort to bring it up-to-date?

We're running the latest forum software PunBB 1.4.6 (released on 2021-03-09), seems developers forgot to update the copyright year.

I'm aware of the forum spams, will cleaning up them as soon as possible. Sorry about the trouble.
