I'm running 1.31 w/LDAP w Nginx.  I'm using LetsEncrypt for my ssl certs.  System has been up and running for quite some time.

In addition to my own domains, I am hosting email on the server for a friend.  He just bought a new Mac (for $2500 if that helps identify it in any way) and can't get his email client (whatever that might be on a Mac) to work.

Before I spend any time on this, are there any gotchas for a Mac where this isn't just some form of user error?  He has had assistance from someone I think is relatively competent, but they were unable to get things working.  It works on his iPhone, but not the Mac.

Thanks.

Andrew

Disable "fail2ban" service temporarily on your server, then ask your friend to try again.
Also make sure he has correct SMTP settings in macOS Mail.App, here's the MUA settings:
