I need to squeeze every drop of performance out of iRedMail and I have some questions.

Incoming mail volume is 5-10+ mails/second

Outbound mail volume is ZERO

1. Will adding unbound DNS resolver still help performance if my outbound mail is 0?

2. How do I disable virus scanning (amavisd + clamAV)

3. How do I disable daily backups?

4. How do I disable logging?

5. Any other performance ideas?

I actually changed 50 to 10, I don't think it will be quite as high as 50

if you change 50 to 10 that means you just have no clue at all what you are doing

Also it's hilarious that you say I don't know what I'm doing and then give absolute trash advice like "use MariaDB" instead of fixing the actual locale issue.

It seems it is you who have no clue what you are doing.

Your situation doesn't look like a normal business email server, would you mind sharing some more details?

Yes I know what I'm doing. I am using it as a bounce inbox.

Great, thanks! I just found that after I made this post.

If I run crontab -u root -e, which crontabs can I safely comment out?

Currently I did backup_pgsql.sh and cleanup_amavisd_db.py

but are there any others?

Try to understand what the task does, then it should be very clear which one you can safely comment out. smile
