The iredadmin service does not start after upgrade.

  • Incorrect uwscgi path
    The upgrade script sets CMD_UWSGI to /usr/local/bin/uwsgi, but the path should be /usr/sbin/uwsgi

  • The line "plugins = python3, syslog" is missing from rc_scripts/uwsgi/rhel8.ini

rhel8.ini is OK, but /usr/lib/systemd/system/iredadmin.service still has incorrect uwsgi path.

Maybe I did something wrong ...

I upgraded to iRedAdmin 2.1 and I can no longer reach the admin interface. If I launch the command:

systemctl status iredadmin.service

I get the following result:

Loaded: bad-setting (Reason: Unit iredadmin.service has a bad unit file setting.)
Active: inactive (dead).

I had a look at earlier posts and I see the remark of the wrong CMD_UWSGI in the script. According to papas, it should be: /usr/sbin/uwsgi, but in 2.1 it is: /usr/bin/uwsgi. Changing the path manually didn't solve the problem. Even though I have Rocky Linux 8.7 installed uwsgi is not present in either one of the folders. I did find the uwsgi executable in the /usr/local/bin folder in my Rocky Linux 8.7 installation.

I did immediately use the 2.1 upgrade script. So it seems that this new version of the upgrade script is still not working correctly.

I would like some advise on what to do next. Do I change things manually, do I have to rerun the upgrade script?

hi ,
i have iredmail 1.6.1  with iredadmin 1.8  from last update procedure
now iredmail 1.6.2 is the same and i don't changed it
is possible update only iredadmin to 2.1 version ?
or is better wait iredmail 1.6.3 ?

I am using iRedMail 1.6.1 in combination with iRedAdmin 2.1 without any issues.
