Requested Feature:

Hi,

Now Sogo is supporting Calendar in the latest version for Ubuntu22.04 which is great, but still one important feature is missing with which IRedMail would not be missing a major feature.

It is about having the possibility of integrating a video call service while creating an event inside Calendar. Normally other softwares have this feature and by just one click, one can generate an invitation link plus Dial-In numbers. Jitsi is a great open-source project which has Dial-In feature as well. Is there any plan to integrate a video call link inside IRedMail Sogo?

Thanks
Majid

- Is Jitsi the best option? Any other suggestions?
- It might be better implemented by SOGo internally, not iRedMail. Would you like to raise this feature request in SOGo mailing list or bug tracker? https://www.sogo.nu/support.html

- When compared to other paid services like Zoom, Microsoft Team, Google Meet, and etc, it seems Jitsi is the best open-source option available. I am not aware of any other video call softwares which is as comprehensive as Jitsi and it is yet open-source.
- Okay, I will raise it in SoGo forums.

I found 2 alternatives, wonder whether you have any experience with them:

- Rocket.Chat: https://www.rocket.chat/pricing
- NextCloud Talk: https://nextcloud.com/talk/

I have not used Rocket.Chat yet. It seems to me more commercial oriented and similar to Zoom, it needs to be purchased without having open-source codes.
I have used NextCloud Talk. It is actually a messaging tool similar to Element (Matrix) in which you can message as well as arrange meetings, but does not have meeting links, etc similar to Zoom. I have also used Element messenger and have its renamed version installed in my cellphone as its license allows it.

What I am looking for is similar to NextCloud integrating Jitsi app (Actually Nextcloud Conference app is Jitsi and it exactly does this function) into its platform next to its Talk.(See the attachment please), but in the IredMail/Sogo. So when I am sending an invitation to someone, I can click on Jitsi logo and it would automatically creates a room with link, dial-In number etc for me similar to Zoom invitations.
