I found that the smtp_sessions table in iredapd is taking up a huge amount of space. I'd like to understand how to safely purge this table without breaking the other parts of iRedmail, as I am not using this table?

Thanks!

Run python script /opt/iredapd/tools/cleanup_db.py.

BTW, iRedMail 1.0 is tooooo old, please consider upgrading to latest version as soon as possible.

Thanks for your advice.

Just wondering: is the data in this table for pure logging purposes? like logged and disposable after a certain period of time?

i guess it works with postscreen service to determine if a smtp sessiion was checked already (spamscore) and assumed good or not, but purging it doesn't do any harm at all and should be done regulary
