Topic: about "policy rejection due to null sender"

Hi, I have iredadmin-pro-5.5, ldap backend, iredmail-1.6.3 on Debian 11.7

When i look at the rejects mails on the panel i see some null sender mails.

A customer warned me about that he tried to send a mail , a few times he got reject message from the mail server like:
Policy rejection due to null sender

In the mail.log at the server:
Jun 26 17:20:10 inbox postfix/submission/smtpd[3878866]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[95.70.128.241]: 554 5.7.1 <accountant@mail.com>: Recipient address rejected: Policy rejection due to null sender; from=<> to=<accountant@mail.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<DESKTOP3EAN3M5>

But the same sender mail address is counfigured in MS Outlook correctly and can send any mails in the same day.
What can be the problem?  may it be a bug?  How can i disable that policy ?

Then he should not send without a sender, thus i dont now how this happened because it has to be sasl auth to even work

with what did he try to send, if it was not trough an MUA?

Re: about "policy rejection due to null sender"

If MUA is configured to send email with SMTP authentication, it won't trigger this "Policy rejection due to null sender" error at all.
So i suggest double check the MUA.
