Topic: Updates

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): 1.5
- Deployed with iRedMail Easy or the downloadable installer? installer
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Centos 7
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): Nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? No
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.
====
I use centos 7 and iredmail 1.5 everything works fine.
The question is, does it make sense to update to the latest version and switch to another distribution, or will everything continue to work on older versions?

Re: Updates

- CentOS 7 has been dropped by iRedMail for NEW installation for a long time.
- I suggest upgrading to at least CentOS Stream 8 (or Rocky, Alma, etc), to get new softwares like PHP v8, also Python.
