Hello,

I've just taken over a colleague's job.
I have to finish the configuration of an IredMail working with Active Directory.
I followed the Integration AD tutorial on the iredmail site.

and when I run the command :
# ldapsearch -x -h ad.example.com -D 'vmail' -W -b 'cn=users,dc=example,dc=com'

I then enter the password for my 'Vmail' account, but I get the following error:
ldap_sasl_bind(SIMPLE): can't contact LDAP server (-1)

I'd like to point out that I can ping my AD with the iRedMail server.

can you help me? I don't know much about LDAP so I'm coming to you.

Thanks

Re: Integration AD LDAP

Is network ports 389 (ldap) or 636 (ldaps) open on AD server?

Re: Integration AD LDAP

I don't know rn if I had the same error but maybe try vmail@[AD-domain] as the username.
