Topic: Cross Domain Alias

Hello. I tried iRedOS and IRedMail (5.0 with the small update 5.01). LDAP installation.

I like to receive mail from two domains XXX.com and XXX.net into a single account.

How to ?

I tried groups, but don't work across domain.

Best regards

Sabbiolina.

Re: Cross Domain Alias

Do you mean:
user01@domain.ltd -> user01@example.com
user01@example.com -> user01@example.com

Yes

Can't you just use an alias?

Like "user01@example.com" is the regular mailbox and "user01@domain.ltd" is an alias for "user01@example.com".

Thomas

Re: Cross Domain Alias

Create account under 'ou=Aliases', and use attribute mailForwardingAddress to store aliases, multiple values are allowed:

dn: mail=user01@domain.ltd,ou=Aliases,domainname=domain.ltd,o=domains,dc=iredmail,dc=org
mail: user01@domain.ltd
accountStatus: active
enabledService: mail
enabledService: deliver
enabledService: forward
mailForwardingAddress: user01@example.com
mailForwardingAddress: user02@example.com
