Something like this is called "branding", and in your case this is not related to iredmail

Modify the templates at your own risk. You can easily break the behaviour of the Web interface.

so you should have this warning in mind, sogo is not part of iredmail, iredmail just gives the possibility to install and configure it for you, if you tinker with it, you are responsible for the results and it can cause problems that are hard to fix, and you use a free version of iredmail, so most of support is either volunteer work, or indeed related to problems caused by rpm changes, updates, fixes and such.
