I am using a shared Mailbox as a public folder sollution and have used roundcube acl to set the user rights.

Unfortunately I found no sollution after changing the rights in my "mail root folder" to propagate through all subfolders.

Am I overlooking something or do I really have to change all subfolder rights manually?

It's not clear what you did with your description.

Re: imap acl recursive

Thank I did read that manual and it clearly states, that acls are not propagated to subfolders.

I made a folderstructure in a shared mailbox and now I have to change the ACL and I am looking for a way to make the ACLs propagate from the root folder through all subfolders under that folder.

-mailbox
--projects big <- I want to have the ACL of this folder to auto update or change all subfolders below
---project 1
----billing
----marketing
----...
---project 2
---project 3

Re: imap acl recursive

If i understand correctly, Dovecot doesn't support ACL inheritance currently. FYI

Re: imap acl recursive

Yes, thats what I found out as well.

My Problem is, that for shared Mailbox in a Teamsetting, this is rather problematic, as Teams change and so ACLs need to be changed as well.

I was asking, if you knew a way of solving this - any way.
Could be a client or a script or anything, that saves me from manually changing 200+ Folders ACLs.
