Topic: iOS setup Exchange vs. Other

It would appear that I can add an iRedMail account to an iOS device using either Exchange or Other for the setup process.  Is there any reason to not just use the Other option?  I know the Exchange was in the documentation but I have also seen that things are changing so I am trying to be future-proof in my directions for users.  One difference I see is that in using Others, I have access to the Drafts folder.  A follow up question, do I need to run SOGo on my server for email syncing for any devices?  I was thinking it was required but didn't know if that is true.  I have another server (Nextcloud) handling Calendar and Contacts so I do not use SOGo for that purpose.

Re: iOS setup Exchange vs. Other

SOGo offers webmail, calendar (caldav + web UI), contacts (carddav + web UI), activesync.
ActiveSync supports syncing emails, calendars, contacts.

If you setup mail account with just IMAP/POP3, you have to add it as caldav account too to sync calendar, also add as carddav account to sync contacts.
