Topic: About IredMail ActiveSync and Migration from IredMail to IredAdmin Pro

As the topic suggests, I have several questions:

Is a fresh installation required to upgrade from the free version of IredMail to IredAdmin Pro? Can I transition to the IredAdmin Pro version with just a few upgrade commands?

I will be running IredMail on AlmaLinux. Is there a particular version of IredMail that you recommend for better performance on this distribution?

I do not want to overload the IredMail server with ActiveSync requests, so I am considering installing the ActiveSync server on a separate server. Does this approach make sense?

Regarding the ActiveSync feature provided by SOGo on IredMail, after Outlook is installed, can I drag and drop emails from PST files into my ActiveSync account? (I do not want to use imapsync or migrate the entire PST file to the ActiveSync account; the user only wants to manually drag and drop certain emails into the ActiveSync account, and I was unable to achieve this in SOGo. Is there a solution for this?)

No. But you should upgrade iRedMail to latest version before upgrading to iRedAdmin-Pro since it relies on latest iRedMail (SQL structure, etc).

FYI https://docs.iredmail.org/migrate.or.up … admin.html

Please use the latest iRedMail release.

ActiveSync is offered by SOGo Groupware, currently iRedMail installer doesn't support installing SOGo on another server. But you're free to install SOGo on another server yourself, and configure SOGo to connect SMTP/IMAP/managesieve services running on iRedMail server.

This is handled by MUA (Outlook), not server side.
