Topic: common used RBLs and restrictions - give your feedback

we already have great results using "ix.dnsbl.manitu.net" and "zen.spamhaus.org"

as of a DDOS last year we had to take off "dnsbl.sorbs.net"

maybe you want to give some feedback on your own lists so we can implement it to the wiki smile

this might be interesting for your postfix - main.cf - append to your needs - this was a non irm-implementation - no ldap or mysql-checks!
it worked for me and my customer was happy cool

Re: common used RBLs and restrictions - give your feedback

I'm considering integrating some stable and effective DNS RBL service in iRedMail.
Any suggestions? "ix.dnsbl.manitu.net" and "zen.spamhaus.org"? any else?

Re: common used RBLs and restrictions - give your feedback

we were also using "bl.spamcop.net" and "combined.njabl.org" but the above had already a great hit-rate

maybe you want to add them but leave commented

Re: common used RBLs and restrictions - give your feedback

Before using Spamhaus ZEN, be sure to check it's licence terms. It's only free for small to medium-sized sites.

This is what I use:

reject_rbl_client bl.spamcop.net,
        reject_rbl_client psbl.surriel.com,
        reject_rbl_client cbl.abuseat.org=127.0.0.2,
        reject_rbl_client dnsbl.njabl.org,
        reject_rbl_client bhnc.njabl.org,
        reject_rbl_client zen.spamhaus.org
