Quick question; for centos 7 / mariadb backends, do you enable SSL connections on any components back to mariadb?

I saw in my.cnf you have specified the iRedMail self-signed key/cert.

No. with default iRedMail settings, all components are running on same host, so no SSL connections are required between MySQL and other applications.
