Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Installed iRedMail in a new centos 7 server.
Instalation OK, except I can't access it to configure it through http.
None of them work (mail, sogo, iredadmin).

In the install.log the is an error with the restarting firewall.

How can I put it working?

Did you restart server?

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Yes I did.

But I can't stop, start or restart iptables.
Everytime I try it gives: Failed to restart iptables.service: Unit iptables.service failed to load: No such file or directory.

Just discovered that in Centos7, iptables was replaced with firewalld.

Should I remove firewalld and install iptables?
Or something went wrong in the installation process?

32

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Please use 'firewalld'.

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

I think more things failed installation. Another one is fal2ban.
Can I rerun the script of installation or start another fresh install of server?

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Hi,
Any reason you don't use pkg instead of ports for packages in Freebsd?

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Today I'm having problems on validating iRedAPD-1.8.0.tar.bz2, it fails the md5.

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

On the home page it still says release date is/was Dec 14, 2015

Simple: the binary packages are not compiled with required options.

For example, if you install Postfix with 'pkg' directly, run 'postconf -m', you will see it doesn't even support sql/ldap lookup tables.

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Unfortunately I am still facing the same issue as with 0.9.3 that iRedAdmin won't work. The iRedMail server itself works fine concerning mail delivery etc. but iRedAdmin only shows the source code of the page instead of the actual python page. I am using the uwsgi.ini and iredadmin.ini sample files with socket user nginx:nginx which is correct for my server. The nginx config part looks liked this:

# iRedAdmin: static files under /iredadmin/static
    location ~ ^/iredadmin/static/(.*)\.(png|jpg|gif|css|js) {
        alias /var/www/iredadmin/static/$1.$2;
    }

    # iRedAdmin: Python scripts
    location ~ ^/iredadmin(.*) {
        rewrite ^/iredadmin(/.*)$ $1 break;
        include uwsgi_params;
        uwsgi_pass unix:/var/run/uwsgi_iredadmin.socket;
        uwsgi_param UWSGI_CHDIR /var/www/iredadmin;
        uwsgi_param UWSGI_SCRIPT iredadmin;
        uwsgi_param SCRIPT_NAME /iredadmin;
    }
    # iRedAdmin: redirect /iredadmin to /iredadmin/
    location = /iredadmin {
        rewrite ^ /iredadmin/;
    }

I had iRedAdmin working with 0.9.2 but ever since I upgraded to 0.9.3 and now 0.9.4 iRedAdmin won't work and I only see the source code of the page. So for some reason the python page is not served as python page but as plain text. I have played around with permissions with no success. I also added a mime type in nginx for py files but that didn't change anything and it should not be required, since it worked before the upgrade.

Please help, using iRedMail without iRedAdmin gives me headaches when adding mail accounts :-(

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Hi Chrissicom,

Did you try to change permission of /var/www/iredadmin/iredadmin.py?

44

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Hello Zhang,

Update from 0.9.3 to 0.9.4 without any problems on Debian 8.3 here.

Thank you!

Hi Zhang, change the permissions to what? I had installed iRedmail on a clean CentOS 7 servier with the nginx version and I am using the default config files. Even when I change the uwsgi vassal to root and change ownership of the files in the iredadmin directory from iredadmin to root I still get the same error ... I only see a text page instead of a rendered page. I never encountered these issues with CentOS 6.5 and also not on CentOS 7 when I did a fresh install of 0.9.2

It got broken with the upgrade to 0.9.3 and persists with 0.9.4

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

Hello.

Centos 7 - iRedMail 0.9.4 - mysql - nginx, fresh install.

File "/etc/php-fpm.d/www.conf" has:
php_value[session.save_path] = /var/lib/php/session,
but no path "/var/lib/php/session".

Also "/etc/postfix/aliases" hasn't "virusalert: root" no need any more?
http://www.iredmail.org/docs/upgrade.ir … al-aliases

Thank you.

Re: iRedMail-0.9.4 has been released.

May I assume that upgrade_iredmail.sh throwing this is safe to ignore?

This is "upgrade_iredadmin.sh", right? if yes, it's safe to ignore.

Does it work with commands below:

chown -R iredadmin:iredadmin /var/www/iredadmin
chmod -R 0555 /var/www/iredadmin/
chmod 0400 /var/www/iredadmin/settings.py
service uwsgi restart
