Does anyone know of a Program that does this? I.e. the file-storage with Seafile is done that way: If the user gives a password to a library, files in that library are stored encrypted on the server and upon download by the user decrypted with that password. That made me think, it would be nice to have only encrypted files in the mailbox-directories, so no admin or third party can see them and upon imap access the program (transparently) decrypts them and serves them to i.e. dovecot. Of course, a third party could intercept that deciper process, but it would at least protect from i.e. servers that are taken over at a moment when nobody uses imap. I like that encrypted-folder feature of Seafile a lot, as it makes the whole thing way more secure, its like a 2nd line of defense against vulnerabilities.
Thx
