Having difficulty whitelisting an e-mail address. I am seeing the following in /var/log/maillog:
Mar 28 15:39:16 mail postfix/smtpd[11472]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from smtprelay0007.hostedemail.com[216.40.44.7]: 451 4.7.1 <sales@cablewholesale.com>: Recipient address rejected: Intentional policy rejection, please try again later; from=<pete@mycustomer.com> to=<sales@cablewholesale.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<smtprelay.hostedemail.com>
So I have whitelisted @mycustomer.com, but the rejections continue. I'd prefer to not whitelist the IP address, but I tried it anyway, whitelisting 216.40.44.* ; yet the rejections continued.
How does one go about troubleshooting what is happening here? Being able to effectively whitelist / blacklist my customer is crucial to our business.
Thanks!
