Topic: Emails being delayed or not being recieved.

- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): latest as of today
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: ubuntu 16 LTS
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): mysql
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): apache
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? Yes
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

People are SOMETIMES unable to send us an email. Its not an attachment issue or a blacklist issue, it seems the connection with the server is being delayed or is not being established sometimes.

I received these screenshots of the error that they have recieved.

The HELO hostname (symafiaedge.savola.com) used by sender server is not resolvable by DNS query. Please ask the server admin to add required A type DNS record for its HELO hostname.

As a temporary solution, you can whitelist this HELO hostname in file /etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre on your server.

Thank you so much.  How can I add it to a whitelist, can you help me with the code?

Is this the line that I add the IP addresses in the whitelist?

How do I add the IP address, can you help me with the syntax.

You can copy a sample line from /etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre, replace the domain name. big_smile
