I would need to know the correct way to restore all old emails and email addresses?

I did backup the whole directory in vmail for my domain and I also backed up vmail from MySQL from old server and looking way to put that information onto my new server

in order to get the old emails back into the new server you must and I repeat you need to do this:

go into maildir and cut and copy cur from your old back up file and go into to your new server under /var/vmail/vmail1/yourdomain/then what ever user then maildir and paste cur in there and you should be able to login into roundcube see your old emails.
