Hey there,
it seems that theres a problem with syslog-ng.
When switching back from syslog-ng to syslog - syslog will suddenlyhang up.
The file ownership of the logs in /var/log is syslogs default ownership

- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
Debian 9.1 (Stretch)       

- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):

- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro?
iRedAdmin and PhpmyAdmin .

We didn't test this switch, i'm afraid that you have to figure it out yourself.
