Topic: Encrypting Mailbox

Hi,

Is there a way ? to encrypt mails in inbox on the server, so that admin should only see the files but should not able to read, only the user should download the mails and read or login to the web and read mails stored on his account.

Regards,

Currently, it's impossible with open source software. (but i don't know which commerical software achieves this feature.)

Lotus Notes has that feature.

Re: Encrypting Mailbox

I don't think there is a point to encrypt mails locally, maybe only for the fuzz, because communication between servers is not encrypted, so the admin can still see the contents of the message.

Maybe just use OpenPGP (Enigmail with Thunderbird), that will assure that the contents is encrypted always.
