Hi I've been searching methods on how to implement this on my version of iredmail but to no avail. I have an existing email but the handling of attachment is different from this new version.

Objective is to prevent users from attaching/sending certain attachments .mp3 .avi etc.

Thanks

What do you mean "my version of iRedMail"?

Amavisd configured by iRedMail supports banning email based on file extension.

I mean I had a previous deployment using iRedMail with an older version and I was able to configure banning of .mp3 files etc. It is version 0.8.7.

does Amavisd have a GUI or  i need to configure via shell.

Thanks,

You have to configure by updating its config file directly. On Debian/Ubuntu, it's /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user.
