literally the first line of the upgrade notes say that you have to use the mysql upgrade script IF you're using mysql.

Run the shell script sql-update-3.2.10_to_4.0.0.sh or sql-update-3.2.10_to_4.0.0-mysql.sh (if you are using MySQL).

As I don't know how the iredmail installation script installs sogo, I asked.

And I was not talking about the mail accounts stored in sql or ldap, I was just talking about sogo.

With iRedMail, If you store mail accounts in MySQL or LDAP, the SOGo uses MySQL.
If you store mail accounts in PostgreSQL, SOGo uses PostgreSQL.
