hi,

one of our customers is on barracuda blacklist.
When he authenticates on out mailserver, iredmail blocks the connection because the ip is blacklisted at barracuda.
why is that when they authenticate via username/pass ?

This sounds like the user has their client configured to use port 25. Port 25 should be reserved only for mail server to mail server communication. Have your user check their settings and ensure that they are using port 587 with authentication.

So postscreen/dnsblog does not check on port 587? Only 25, right?

postscreen runs on port 25. yes

Hi @lug,

Please double check your user's MUA, make sure it uses port 587 with TLS (STARTTLS) secure connection, AND, SMTP authentication must be enabled.

Yes they used Port 25, even if I said use 587 ... smile
Now everything should be fine, thx.
