Hi all,

ive setup mail server using iredmail

i have set up the DKIM, SF, DMARC, MX, PTR records for this domain

i have verified my domain in gmail postmaster tool

i have emailed yahoo specialist (no respond yet)

i have emailed hotmail support.

my hostname is using domain name.

im still trying to figure out what is the root cause of my mails going to spam box.

anyone can advice on this matter, is it due to certain policy? or it will take some time before my mail going to user normal inbox?

Re: mails getting into spam box for hotmail, gmail & fail for yahoo

The problem is we do not know how they (Gmail/Hotmail/...) detect spam, so it's a blackbox to us, no clear solution. sad
You may have to use the "Not spam" button in Gmail/hotmail/... to report the emails, and wait for some time.

Re: mails getting into spam box for hotmail, gmail & fail for yahoo

Hey jaliascv, try the below link for Microsoft. Postmaster Tools from Google does take some time to process, so give that a bit, and give the below some time as well.

https://sendersupport.olc.protection.ou … aster.aspx

As for Yahoo!, well, its Yahoo and I can only find this article on the topic. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/postmaster

I hope this helps!

Re: mails getting into spam box for hotmail, gmail & fail for yahoo

My experience is similar, except what I found out was even though the IP address of my VPS looked clean it was being discriminated against so to say. While my VPS was with Vultr the IP was clean according to all of the dns blacklists mxtoolbox runs against, however when sending to Microsoft based email for example I would automatically get an SCL of 5 no matter what (SCL of 5 is the minimum it takes for mail to go to junk). This was after 3 months of email despite perfect DKIM, SPF, DMARC, having reverse DNS, etc. My solution was to move my mail server from Vultr to OVH and immediately I had better deliverability.

Your mileage may vary of course, however I am telling you my experience. Good luck.
