After working several weeks on deployment we placed iRedMail online today for production use.   Within a couple of hours of of being online SOGo became completely unusable.   Errors such as "Gateway error" began appearing when accessing it.   Users who were able to get the login page couldn't login.   SOGo typically accepted users credentials and then hung at the authentication text.

iRedAdmin Pro and Roundcube seem to work very well.

Has anyone seen problems like this with SOGo?   Are their any workaround or fixes?

BTW, the CPU and memory utilization on the server didn't appear to show any problems while this problem was occurring.   iRedAdminPro and Roundcube seemed to perform very well, even when SOGo was having difficulty.

We have about 12,500 users and about 100 appeared to be online simultaneously when the problem occurred.   Mail volume was approximately 16,000 inbound messages and about 400 outbound during the first three hours the server was online.

Thanks,
Bob

Seems Dovecot reaches its default client limit. Try command below to see if it does:

cd /var/log/dovecot/
grep '_limit' *log

Questions:

- How much memory does this server have?
- Do your users use ActiveSync or just SOGo webmail?
