Topic: [SOLVED] Sending from a mail alias

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version 0.9.9
- downloadable installer
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: CENTOS 7
- Store mail accounts in which backend LDAP
- Nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? No
====

Just followed the instructions here: https://forum.iredmail.org/topic9656-ir … alias.html

After the restarts, I logged into Roundcube and added a new "identity" to my mail account reflecting the associated alias I wanted to send from. When I try to send from that alias I get an error:

roundcube: <b2ki8v12> SMTP Error: Failed to add recipient '***@***.org'. 5.7.1: Recipient address rejected: Sender is not same as SMTP authenticate username (Code: 554) in /var/www/roundcubemail-1.1.5/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube.php on line 1667 (POST /mail/?_task=mail&_unlock=loading1558424278373&_lang=en_US&_framed=1&_action=send)

Please help!

Thanks
