Topic: ssl error

hello

outlook 2013 (windows 7 machine)

configured as pop3 with ssl port 993

randomly ie sometimes it connects correctly and downloads messages and sometimes it does not and gives error
"Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified."

this happens on all our machines connected to the debian server via outlook.

however imap with tls works fine.

outlook 2013 does not have tls settings for pop

what could be the reason please ?

I'm not sure whether Outlook 2013 supports TLSv1.2, so here's the suggestion:

- Upgrade Outlook to the latest release.
- OR, support weaker TLS version in Dovecot.

Fixed the problem. We were using two different certificates in postfix and dovecot.
