Hi Guys,

Config:
Iredmail Version 0.9.9
Store mail Accounts =  mysql
Web Server - Nginx
Manage mail account with iredmail
ubuntu 18.04

I created ubuntu 18.04 VM secondary server with the same configuration as my physical iredmail main server even the password for mysql, iredmail version and ubuntu version and so forth.

I tried exporting all the databases from main iredmail server and import it to secondary server and even copied all the files from /var/vmail/ and paste it to the secondary server but still email are not copied to secondary server.

Any step by step guide on how can i solve this issue? Your help is very much appreciated.

Did you set correct file owner and permission for /var/vmail/vmail1?

Hi Zhang,

Yes, owner and permission are correct.

What i did was, i deleted all the emails in my production server then re-created it again after adding MAILDIR_HASHED = False and MAILDIR_APPEND_TIMESTAMP = False on both server. Then, sent a test message for iredmail to create email profile folder. Then, manually create the same email address in the secondary server and sent a test email. And, manually copied the /var/vmail1/email address from production server to secondary server and EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE.

My secondary(backup) server is working.
