Topic: settings for high volume of emails

hi

we have around 200,000 emails per day (in+out) on our servers

i am using mysql for postfix, sogo, bayes

my server has 2X400 gb ssd drives for os and 6X1.6 tb ssd drivers in Raid10 for data, 2X12 core procs, 256 gb ram.

my questions
1) what should be the debian 64 bit OS level settings to be able to handle a lot of load.
2) spamassassin -- number of child processes
3) amavis settings
5) mysql connection settings -- currently i am using these in my old servers

[mysqld]
datadir=/var/lib/mysql
socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
user=mysql
# Disabling symbolic-links is recommended to prevent assorted security risks
symbolic-links=0

log-slow-queries
long_query_time=2
thread_cache_size=200
max_connections=700
table_cache=1000
query_cache_size=64M

[mysqld_safe]
log-error=/var/log/mysqld.log
pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid

thanks
rajesh
