Topic: Plus symbol in email address

Hello,

Let assume that I have 2 email's on the same server: info@mycompany.com and contact@mycompany.com

When I send email from contact@mycompany.com to info@mycompany.com it shows immediately.
When I send email from contact@mycompany.com to info+news@mycompany.com it shows approximately in an hour in folder "news" in account info@mycompany.com.

Is it possible to speed up ?

Can someone explain how the process with + in the email address works ?

The + is "recipient delimiter", in iRedMail, the string after + (and before @) is treated as a mailbox name also (configured in /etc/postfix/master.cf, transport "dovecot", parameter "-m").
